It is SO HOT outside! I don’t want to go out for long, so I’ve been staying inside writing poetry and keeping cool. Today is supposed to be another scorcher, so I wrote a poem about the heat. So in case you forgot it’s summer, here’s another offering, sung to my favorite song from the opera Porgy and Bess.
.
Summertime (with apologies to George and Ira Gershwin)
.
Oh my Dog
it’s so hot and so hazy
Hard to walk
for a long-span of time.
.
Think I’ll stay
inside under the AC
And dream of when it’s once
again wintertime!

Rumpydog, you crack us up! Why, you are spoiled just like us. Love your poem/song. As they say in human talk, “A/C’s the bomb!”
Don’t you know it! Woo woo!
You might be hot from the summer heat, Rumpy, but you’ll always be one cool doggie. Check out Loup’s summer blog post. He’s trying to embrace it and not complain about the heat for once.
