#Haiku Friday (on a Saturday)

Oh Dog! I am overwhelmed by all the words of comfort and prayers from my friends as we have mourned Sage’s departure for the Rainbow Bridge. To update: I was very upset the following day when I realized she wasn’t coming back, but I am doing much better. Jen stayed home with us and gave us each lots of attention (and cookies). It’s alot quieter around here though. Sage could not be still, and me and DeDe are VERY laid-back.

This morning DeDe really showed herself! While on her walk she saw another dog, and she almost pulled Jen’s arm off trying to get to him. Jen asked if it would be OK for them to meet. His name is Buster and he’s 11 years old. DeDe said his butt smelled REALLY nice! I guess now she will be peeing in front of his house regularly….*rolls eyes*

My cats acted VERY weird this morning. They know that they get breakfast when Jen gets up, and usually they start trying to wake her up around 4am. But today, they didn’t start all that hollering and rubbing. When Jen woke up they just came up one at a time and quietly waited for her to pet them. There’s hope for them kitties yet!

Here’s your Friday Dog Haiku (even though it’s Saturday):

RUMPY SAYS:
If you’re unhappy
You should find a dog to pet
and let lick your face.

DEDE SAYS:
I’m glad you found me.
No, things haven’t been easy,
but I am grateful.

SAGE SAYS:
I’m always with you.
It may not be physically,
But I’m always here.

Much love to you all!

Guard dogs!

  1. These poems are perfect reflections of each of your personalities. They’re all very touching. You know, kitties can tell when their people are sad and need comforting. It was sweet of yours to be patient and let Jen get some extra rest. And remember, Sage’s star will always be twinkling and smiling down on you. Love & loud purring from The RainbowCatsx8
