Outstanding post. Right in line with my having Just finished a very very sobering account of the many ways prosperity buys more and more “health care” in the US — which invitation into the “health care” INDUSTRY can be a fast-track directly to that quiet and peaceful place in your photo. For the stout-of-heart only, or the deeply deeply cynical ones like me: Dr. Otis Brawley, HOW WE DO HARM: A Doctor Breaks Ranks About Being Sick in America. So at least there’s one up-side to being broke and insurance-less in America: They won’t get me THAT way. Some other way, no doubt — but not THAT way.
