DeDe Explains Today’s Post…..

Good morning! DeDe here!

Nope, it's not Sunday!
Nope, it’s not Sunday!

Rumpy’s had a hard time trying to figure out what to post today, so I thought I’d help him out.

Ya see, he’s worried about me because Jen noticed a lump on my hip this weekend.

I'm worried about DeDe!
I’m worried about DeDe!

I told him it was nothing, just one of those fatty tumors like what I’ve got on my tummy. But just to ease his (and Jen’s) fears, I agreed to go to the vet this afternoon and check it all out.

Now, calm down already Rumpy!!!!  *rolls eyes*

  1. The Red Man says it’s a good idea to get it checked but he’s got several and they aren’t a big deal and half the problems of the world are imagined anyway. But then of course there’s that pesky other half. Oh, well. I’ve never been known for my bedside manners. 🙂

  2. My sister got one of those on her chest and mom flipped out. The vet said it is normal in older dogs and it was nothing to worry about. Some breeds get more than others, too.

  3. I’m sending my prayers, Dear DeDe. I’m sure it’s nothng wrong with you. Please remember we are always with you Dear DeDe. *pawhugs*

  4. Oh, no sweet DeDe we can see why sweet Rumpy is worried about you. We sure hope the vet has a good report and that lump is nothing serious. Hugs and nose kisses

  5. Stella the Great Newfenees here, via my scribe. We’re both thinking of you today De De, and hope it’s nothing serious. Enjoy your trip to the vet’s. I always like going – so many new friends to make!

  6. Hoping DeDe is indeed ok. I know all about those fatty tumors. My dog has ’em, and I had two myself! Ick. Can be a bit uncomfortable depending on where they are, but not harmful. Hope all is well. Ease your mind, Rumpy.

  7. Evening DeDe! Don’t worry I’m sure you’ll be fine 🙂 One of my dogs had an unexplained tumour appear out of the blue on his foreleg – scared me half to death…but it was fine, the vet’s removed it and tests showed it was nothing to worry about. I’m sure it will prove the same for you 🙂 And tell Rumpy stressing is very bad for him! Wolfie knows! She is suffering the effects of excess stressing right now! 🙂

  8. Our cocker spaniel Sammy got those the older he got – just collections of fatty tissue and then there were his warts lol. Getting older can be pretty ugly business LOL. Hope it’s nothing pretty girl!

  9. Hey Rumpy, Dr Rayya just posted about finding lumps on pets this week: http://rayyathevet.com/2013/01/14/oh-noi-discovered-a-lump-on-my-pet-part-1/

Bella gets them too. Mostly they’re fine but it’s always good to check. Mumma flips out when she finds one because the first one she ever found was a nasty cancerous one. But ever since they’ve just been fatty tissue ones.

Give DeDe a lick from us.

Beary (Bella & Bubba too – although maybe just loves not licks from Bubba, she doesn’t like it when she gets ‘furs’ on her tongue) xox
