We’re Moving!

We are moving.

Again.

Kinda tired of packing and unpacking
Kinda tired of packing and unpacking

We got another call to show the house, with less than 24 hours notice. Jen asked about breaking the lease and they agreed.

So now we’re looking for another place to live.

Please keep that positive energy flowing this way as we make yet another transition.

The timing of the Universe may be perfect, but moving still stinks!

Move? But I just got comfortable!

One thing that is wonderful in our lives right now is the outpouring of support from our friends. Thank you so much to those of you who faithfully vote for me each day. You have no idea how much your kindness means to us, especially now at this time of uncertainty.  We sure do love you!

      1. I’m totally with you on that point. I like the thought of a fresh start and a new home to make our own, but it’s the packing/unpacking and all the other yukky stuff I don’t like! Paws and everything else crossed you find somewhere wonderful … with a loooooooooooooong lease soon. x

  1. Moving is no fun, Rumpy. I just did it again after a year someplace and it was way too soon. Good luck finding a place and be kind to your mama, this’ll be a lot of hard work for her. Yep – still voting.

  2. I’m sending lots of positive energy to you, Jen and all your family Rumpy!!! Good lucks with finding a nice place to move in!!! 🙂
Thinking of you all the time,
    Love from Kevin xxxxx

  3. I am sure you will find something even better that what you currently have. I wish I were closer, I would help you move. Wait a minute – warm Florida vs Snowy New Hampshire. Moving boxes vs shoveling yet more snow. On second thought, let me know when, I make plane reservations and come down to help.

    1. Depends on where we find a place. Jen wants to move to Dothan because it’s more convenient. It will be a longer commute to work but she’s willing to live with that.

  4. The landlord should have told you he was going to sell when you were deciding to sign the lease so you could have found a more permanent home. So sorry you have to go through all the looking and tedious moving again. We’re praying you find the perfect place to live:)

  5. My mom has been a super mover…like 27 times in her (sorry for this mom) 48 years including 4 times over the Atlantic Ocean. We have now been in our house for 5 yrs which is a record! The longest she ever lived in a place was 6. Mom can pack up a place at the drop of a hat but I think she is enjoying being settled finally! Hope you find a new place that you love soon!

  6. We are adding OUR PAWsitive thoughts and energy to the rest.
On the BRIGHT side of this… you won’t have to Spring Clean ! RIGHT???

  7. Just did the whole moving thing – moved a 3 bedroom house just the 2 of us in 1 1/2 days – not the best scenario but sometimes you just have to suck it up and get it done. Good Luck & Here’s to New Adventures – Happy Friday:)

  8. Half way between Dothan and Cottondale would be good. Or how about closer to Panama City? Let me know what I can do to help. By the way, just voted again. Keeping fingers crossed Rumps.

  9. I hope you find a place with lots of room to run. My person and I are praying for all of you while you make the transition – yes, we’re even praying for June Buggie.

  10. You’ll be cozy and comfy again before you know it, Rumpy. Adventures like this always happen for a reason. Mom and I will say prayers for you to find just the right new place for your family to live.

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

  11. So glad to hear that the lease can be broken without hassle. That’s the very *least* they can do! Helping with the unexpected costs of uprooting and moving would be nice, too!! We’re voting and purring for you Rumpy!! Love to all from RainbowCatsx8

  12. What a bummer to have to move again. I hope you find a permanent place to live so all of you can settle in and not worry about packing again.
    Hugs and Woofs, BJ

  13. Taylor and I will always give you pawsitive energy from here in Northern California! Praying you will find a new place soon for you and your babies! Also, just shared the link to your World Spay Day Pageant page so you can hopefully get more votes!

  14. Voted – sure hope Rumpy wins.

As for moving…yuch. Hopefully you haven’t unpacked everything from your last move. That would make it somewhat easier. I have moved dozens of times in my life. One tip…label all your cartons, not only with which room to put the box, but also a general list of what it contains (eg: books, dog toys).

Another tip is not to put all of one heavy object, such as books, in one box. Split them up in several boxes and fill the rest of each box with light stuff, such as towels, bed linens, clothing.

Hope you find the home of your dreams! 🙂

  15. Know how you feel! Moving becomes such a chore when it’s every 5 minutes, and it’s so unsettling too. But good for you … better things are on the way for you I am sure 🙂

  16. Well you probably were just getting all the boxes unpacked and now this. Sending positive thoughts to you all. One door closes and another opens we know you will all land on your feet. Best wishes from us all.

  17. Rumpy, wes moved 17 times in 22 years. Moving is kind of fun! Me loves to explore the new houses.
    Kisses
    Nellie
    PS wes been voting

  18. Typist moved for the first time in december – she did say it was the first and last time! BOL keeping everything crossed that your new place is lovely and soon feels like home! Have you found a new place?

  19. You are right about not wasting energy. It’s all for the best. There’s a place waiting for you – paws crossed that door opens soon!
(RC chooses to send calming purrs saying all the positive energy from the blogs could make it hard to sleep. Molly wants to ignore that but has agrees to only send energizing tail curls and wags during daylight hours.)
    HUGS to all
(and just sent out another set of emails about the Subaru site and the Pet pageant voting)
