What You Said, and What We Did With It………

Wow! So many thoughts shared yesterday! Thanks to every one of you!

You have lots of good advice!
You have lots of good advice!

One thought: Rescue is a wonderful thing, and because of caring rescuers, many animals are saved. Jen wants to work toward the day when rescue is no longer needed, because society takes responsible care of its animals. Animal welfare to me is working to change hearts and minds (and laws) that puts an end to cruel practices such as dog fighting, puppy mills, animal smuggling, and the ownership of exotic animals.

I think our friends at Saved by Dogs made a great point. Jen does like to write. So maybe we need to start writing about some other things besides just animal welfare. That way she can explore other career options that could free up time for her to volunteer for animal welfare causes.

Here are some ideas we had to broaden our horizons:

  • beauty tips by DeDe
  • more product reviews (by the way, if you want to promote how your sofa stands up to dogs, we could sure stand to talk to you!)
  • more memes, to show off our funny bones
  • more poetry

Oh don’t worry, you June Buggie addicts. He’s not going anywhere. As if anyone could make the little kitty do anything!

So, what do you think? Any more ideas on ways to expand our horizons?

Yeah, like maybe have the dog join the military?

  3. Those are great ideas, Rumpy! Jen is very talented to wirte, so she surly enjoys her new job! Thank you very much for continuing blogging for us, Rumpy and Jen, and Wow! Glad June Buggie is still with us, readers! 🙂

  4. Writing is writing. It’s always good! Whenever Jen is working on writing, always stare at her a lot and bring her toys. That’s how I help Mom write. I’m pretty sure it’s not annoying at all.

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

  5. Glad you got some ideas. You certainly have dedicated fans who want to see you happy (and still writing a smart blog for us to enjoy).

I’m running a survey on my blog this week to ask for help in improving my blog. It might be an easier way to get feedback from your readers in a form that’s more organized.

If you want to see the survey, check it out here: http://www.somethingwagging.com/something-swagging-this-way-comes-part-3/. I’d be happy to help you if you’d like to set up your own.

  6. Hi Rumpy – keep writing. Animal welfare is a worthy thing. I wish I could write haiku as well as you. I keep trying but…..oh well. I have a link here for one of my favorite, positive blogs around. There is a story posted about a rescue dog, I think will make you smile, and he was homeless at one time too. http://globalinfo4all.wordpress.com/2013/05/24/inspiring-story-of-the-day-2/
Please go visit. and hey, like that song: don’t go changin’
