Bubba has always been sort of an odd duck. He likes to drink fresh water from the water bowl.
When Jen puts the fresh water down, he’ll kick it out of the bowl onto the tray.
He likes to stand in the water.
And then he’ll lick it off his feet.
See? I told you he was weird!

Oh no, not weird. I used to have a kitty that did almost the same thing…stand in the water and lick from the paw. Brothers from another mother?

That’s very clever, Bubba has a foot bath and a drink… that’s what they call “all inclusive” in some hotels :o)

Maybe Bubba wants to be clean and washes his paws before he drinks. Of course, then he drinks from the bowl so he’s sending mixed messages. π

Oh! Our third adopted cat ‘Tora’ does the same, when he drinks water!!! We thought it was only Tora who does it! Bubba does, too! π
I have that same tray! Bubba’s not weird he just likes what he likes. Our cat trixie puts her paw in the water bowl and drinks from her paw. She doesn’t do it all the time, but it is cute when she does.
I’d go with cute rather than weird!!

I (Frankie Furter) used to SPLASH my water out all over the place… butt mom got a bowl that I can’t do it with any longer. ERNIE puts his paws in the water when he gets hot.
