Seven years ago I started this blog. That’s the longest I’ve stuck with anything.
I had hoped to monetize it to support my animal rescue habit. Things didn’t quite work out that way. Instead I found an avenue of expression that I enjoyed and was pretty good at, if I do say so myself.
The best part? I got to meet you.
Writing has always given me an outlet. I hesitated to share it because it was so special to me, and I didn’t want it taken away. If you’ve ever suffered with low self-esteem, you know what I mean.
Writing prose and poetry is one thing that makes me feel good. Feel proud of myself. I am determined that no one will take that away from me.
The blog has helped me to open up and share myself to others through my writing. It’s sometimes not pretty, but it is always me… even when in the voice of Rumpy or June Buggie. I have a story to tell, and I am working up my courage to tell it.
I am not the horrible, worthless person that I was led to believe while growing up. I am pretty darn fantastic, and no one will ever again tell me any different.

You are a wonderful writer and I love that your blog is what you want it to be for you and not what anyone else would tell you to do.
