America, land of the free,
dysfunctionally
hobbles on, still believing
it’s the greatest show on earth.
lies ingrained from birth,
while downplaying the worth
of the citizenry,
choosing a rich white god to oversee.
Those deemed worthy live carefree
while the rest of us are dropping
from bullets while shopping,
playing, mopping.

Shootings in America get little attention in our news cycle, elsewhere they are still shocking. Sad but true.
Last night an employee at a Walmart in Virginia killed at least 6 people, wounded others, then killer himself. Trauma strikes again.
